Ben H.

SSSC Team:
Career Team

Heya! I'm Ben H., a second year student majoring in Theoretical Physics with a minor in Mathematics. Last year I was in the Experimental Physics stream and volunteering as a First Year Rep with the SSSC.

Whenever I learn something, that knowledge always comes with the desire to share it. This passion has led me to become a Mentor with the SSSC, and I hope to become a Teaching Assistant in my third year. Besides helping out around the Centre, I am also the Vice President of the Carleton Undergraduate Physics Society, the go-to place for anyone who wants to become more involved with physics.

In the little time I'm not studying, I enjoy playing the French horn and swing dancing. Music is an extremely positive aspect of my life, and I recognize its contributions daily. After a long day of mathematics and physics, it's always helpful to concentrate on a tricky solo, or work on a new dance step. I encourage everyone to find something that is completely disconnected from their campus life, it's an incredible boon to your mental health.

If you ever need help with campus, academia, or even want to chat, feel free to drop by the SSSC. You can almost always find me with my best friend, the SSSC whiteboard.
