Hey! My name is Brittny L. I’m a 3rd year student studying Computer Science and I’m in the Network Computing Stream with a minor in Technology, Society, and Environment Studies. Through my degree I want to learn more about human-computer interaction and the psychology behind user experience design. I’m working towards building up my knowledge of these topics so that I can pursue them in grad school. After a yearlong co-op position as a LTE Tools Developer at Ericsson I’m ready to come back to school and help make Carleton even more awesome for my fellow CS (and science) students. This year I’ll be helping out as a mentor for the SSSC and I’ll be a Co-Coordinator for our CS Team. With our first computer science team we hope to provide CS students with more support than ever and we’ll be holding some great events as well! In addition to my SSSC activities I’ll also be volunteering as a Social Media Campaign Advisor for the Office of the Vice-President (Students and Enrolment). In my free time I like to draw, practice web design, write code, watch shows and documentaries, read manga, eat new food and experience new things in general. I hope to meet a bunch of new people this year through these opportunities so don’t be shy and come talk to me whenever you feel like you might need someone, or even if you’re just bored!
