Hello! My name is Joey and I’m in my second year of Honours Chemistry Concentrating in Nanotechnology. Last year I volunteered with the SSSC as a first year rep and this year I’m super excited to be a First Year Rep Co-Coordinator! I am so excited to remain a part of the SSSC in my second year of study at Carleton!

 My first summer was spent planning and executing summer orientation with the Student Experience Office (SEO), so if you have any questions about anything on campus, I’m your guy! If you ever need to find me on campus, I’m in the SSSC. I basically live here.

I plan on getting some lab experience during this upcoming summer. I’m going to be applying for some research awards, but volunteering is always good too. Being in Chemistry means you have to be good in a lab setting, and the only way to get that experience is to actually work in a lab.

When I’m not doing homework (which is rare) I spend all my time reading. I read anything, but I always have a book on the go. It’s important to relax in University, so find something that eases your mind and always make time for it. School is very important, but so are you.

If you have any questions about anything, school related or not, don’t hesitate to ask! I have already switched programs twice and have talked to numerous professors and administrative personnel about different programs. If you’re feeling unsure about anything, I’ll always be in the SSSC! Always feel free to come by and chat.
