Melinda C. J.

Hi everyone! My name is Melinda and I am going into my second year of the Health Science program with a concentration in biomedical science. I’m very excited to be an SSSC mentor as part of the Health Care Team!

In my first year, I got involved in the Carleton Science Student Society as a Director of Executive Affairs and a First Year Rep. This year, I will be part of the CSSS as VP Programming, I am a fall orientation leader, and I will hopefully be getting involved in more clubs around campus. This summer, I will be working in Dr. Edana Cassol’s lab through a Dean’s Summer Research Internship where I will learn about the role of interferons in immune system regulation.

Outside of school, I work as a tutor, guitar teacher and musician. I am also an active volunteer with the Canadian Blood Services. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all, so come visit me at the SSSC and say hi!
